Hajime Post - Someone Important

Someone Important ...

My very first post on this blog, many thanks to Michelle for creating this joint blog. I guess i am getting too used to have my things done by others. I am fortunate to have lots of great friends around me. Female ones especially :)

This afternoon i was on MSN with Michelle and we started arguing with each other. Over what you might ask? Its over the simple habit that i use the phrase "I see" on MSN. Being ignorant of my mistake i didnt realise i had made my online friend angry, as like most guys do. The conversation got heated up and luckily it ended with our relationships still intact.

The reason why Mich was so pissed off is because she sees "I see" as a form of unenthusiasm, a lack of sincerity or concern from the individual. With that coming from a girl, it struck me that have i been taking things for granted? Especially the people around me, like my friends? From a guy's pespective, using "I see" doesnt mean that i am not interested, it is only a phrase to keep the conversation flowing from the female. Apparently, my female counterpart sees it differently from me.

Nevertheless, to all guys out there who are chatting with your female friends, i know that we guys are not good with words, or even the fact that we do not display much of our emotions (like me, a libran). It is important to let your female friends or more importantly the people who are important in your lives to know that you care. Be it a smiley, a nudge or even a short phrase, reveal your inner self more, use more words and let them know that they are the someone important in your hearts.
