Monday night after my VIVA presentation, i went home and tried to log in MSN. I couldnt log in at all. Error 81000314, please make sure you are connected to the internet. I thought the MSN server was down and since i was jaded from all the excitment and anxiety of the VIVA, i went to sleep.

The next morning on tues when i report to work. I thought of signing in to MSN again, thinking that the problem should be gone. To my surprise it showed the same error, on my company's lappy! I was pretty worried then, and the thought of someone hacking my account came into my head. I got my brother to test a few things and concluded that my account is still not lost. Besides, who would want to hack my account?

On Tues night when i return home from work, i tried to google this problem and found many people having this error. I tried every single method on the net, offered by the "experts" and none of them worked. I was on the brink of despair ... then i thought "Am i going to lose all my contacts?" That spurred me to find the solution quickly! I tried every method except reinstalling MSN... and the situation got no better. I thought if things do not return tomorrow ... i will have to recreate a new account.

So the next morning when i was about to announce the death of my account, it worked! MSN signed in! I was so overjoyed, i nearly made a call to brunei to tell u the good news. LOL. But anyway, after this incident i realised that we shouldnt take things for granted. Always make sure that there is a backup of everything. If you happen to meet the same problem with me, and have tried every last trick in the book but nothing worked: just sit out the boredom and MSN may just return to normal. If not .....
