Back to my home sweet home once again, after another week of gruelling training.

Sometimes i dont know why i blog, since nobody reads them except for maybe a few people... Maybe i wanna keep a diary on my NS days. My sunday is burned for guard duties. F***. Now i understand what people meant by maintaining a relationship during NS is tough. I'm already in such a hellava mood this bookout.

Anyway as mentioned last week, everyone who have been through NS will surely have some weird stories to share. These stories have been passed down, so i wonder whether are they credible... Hope i will not be the 1 that finds out.

1. Ambush

For trainings at night, trainees are always reminded to point the torch at the floor and never at the trees or the surroundings. This is to prevent blinding people around you with strong beams ... or are there more that meets the eye?

This story starts when a squad is having their training at night. They are suppose to set up an ambush when they suspect their 'enemy', who are actually their sergeants in disguise, are in their vicinity.

As they were walking, 1 of the trainees shone his torch into the trees and saw a face. He immediately shouted "Halt!" and alerted his leader. Since the enemy was spotted, the leader spread them out for an ambush and true enough, their sergeants were caught in the ambush.

The sergeants were pleased that this squad performed very well and asked who was the person that spotted them. The elated trainee put up his hand and said "I saw u in the trees sarge". The sergeant was taken aback, but replied "Well done".

After training was completed, the sergeant pulled the fellow 1 side and asked "Where did u say u spotted me again?". "Up this tree" the trainee replied and pointed to the tree. The sergeant replied "We did not climb any tree, all the instructors were ordered to remain on the ground. None of us climbed the tree." The trainee went cold and said "Then who was the person that i saw .... ".

2. Buddy

Everybody in NS has buddies. Training buddies, platoon buddies, favourite buddies. We look after each other, rely on each other and have fun together. Staying in a group is also safer, this is especially so when you are out in the field, or when u go toilet...

After lights out, no 1 is supposed to be moving around or switch on any lights. In the middle of the night, this trainee got woken up by his buddy.

"Hey, i need to go toilet, come with me".

Although he was physically tired, he still shuffled behind his buddy and watched him entered the toilet.

"Hey buddy i wait for u outside ok?"

A long long time passed and there is still no signs of his buddy.

"Hey you ok or not?" There wasnt any reply.

Fearing that his buddy was in trouble he went inside the toilet to look for him. The toilet was quiet, as though it was empty. Thinking that his buddy might have fallen asleep in the cubicle, he tip-toed and look into the cubicle. His body gone cold when he saw that the cubicle was empty.

Sensing something amissed, he immediately pretended to be sleepy. He yawned "Ar, so tired, i better go back sleep". As he walked out of the toilet, a voice came from inside the cubicle. "Are u tired, or u know already?"

The guy ran all the way back to his bunk. As he passed his buddy's bed, he saw his buddy still sleeping soundly ...
