Somethings cannot be undone. The damage is irreversible. Permanent. Lasting. For life. The results of my MRI scan was out. I have confirmed to partially tear 2 ligaments in my knee. In medical terms the ACL and meniscus (Just google it if u are curious). And unfortunately these 2 elastic bands are unable to heal by themselves... and i'll never get back my knee to 100% again.
Surgery to repair my ligaments using muscles from my hamstring is a possibility. But that means 6 months of rehabilitation after the surgery. And even so, i still have to exercise great care in doing sports. With or without surgery, my left knee will be more prone to wear and tear and of course injuries, now that its weakened.
I do not have 6 months. I have a life ahead of me. But the truth is stark naked. Surgery or not, its never gonna be 100% again.
And so i pushed the operation away.
With the sacrifice that i will not be able to play competitive basketball ever again. And even during leisure sports i have to be careful... and perform within my limits. Without the surgery, it means i have to put in more effort to get my knee back into condition with gym lessons.
Friends, let me be a lesson to you. Always warm up before you do any strenuous activity. Always drink water and know your own limits.
Do no i repeat DO NOT over exert yourself.
Sigh.... life still moves on dont they?
