Havent been blogging as often ever since the start of the internship in January. Work is still very much more draining everyday compared to school. I got the "back to NS" feeling; having only time on the weekends to do my own stuff. I just feel like hitting the bed after work everyday.
This is my first time working in a local bank, and yes it is tough. In this competitive industry, almost everyday is a war and newcomers are expected to be up to speed quickly. I have been reprimanded a few times for my lack of initiative. It is demoralizing yes, especially when you feel that you have completed the task at hand, or when things are dependent on some other factors that are beyond your control.
Nevertheless, it is still an eye-opener to see the internal operations of the bank. I am glad to be given this chance and with the second half of the internship coming up, I will strive all out to make a lasting impression!
