I just got back from Guilin a few days ago. It was quite alright, full of sightseeing but the trip was not really enjoyable due to some factors. Never mind about those factors. Hopefully next time they won't happen again.

We visited a few places of which two are selling medicine. The first one that we went to, there were some Chinese physicians that gave us free consultation but of course you know there will be a catch somewhere. I consulted one of them and she said I have too much white blood cells which may lead to leukaemia soon if I don't seek treatment in time and I have very poor blood circulation, lack of blood and my periods may stop etc.. Which may most probably lead me to become barren.. Must buy their products to try cure now etc.. But of course we didn't buy.. We only bought some cream and medicine that the tour guide had introduced to us in the bus before we arrived.

Sounds so horrifying right? The barren part didn't scare me because I never had the plan to get attached due to my twisted character. Lol.

However, the leukaemia part kind of struck a chord in me. A few years ago, there was a prediction that I can't eat seafood etc because I have a high level of white blood cells and will get leukaemia if I still continue to persist my ways. I didn't believe it. I didn't care. Now I'm having doubts. Last time I was a non-believer but now I really don't know to believe it or not. I mean I'm just being stubborn. Anyway nobody can force you to believe something that you don't.

Then the second medicine place didn't have a physician that we can consult but the speaker was a TCM practitioner for over 40 years and now she's retired but she has a medicine talk show on local tv which I never managed to catch throughout the trip because of our itinerary.

I just "causally" asked how to use these medicines they were selling etc and told her about what I was told at the other shop and she took a look at me and told me that I only had poor blood circulation and the too much white blood cells was a fib. She told me not to worry and just try to work on improving on my blood circulation etc. She's a very nice lady. She didn't force the goods on us and even taught us how to cook the medicine that we bought at the other shop.

I'm gonna go visit our local TCM and see what they say before I cast my judgement.
